Who we are and how we work
epria.eu explains what the regulations this platform addresses mean for companies using AI. Not for lawyers — for the entrepreneur who wants to know whether it affects them and what they need to do.
Why this platform exists
The regulation contains hundreds of articles and annexes. For a large company with a legal department, that is manageable. For a fifteen-person company that has deployed a chatbot in customer service and uses a selection tool for job applications, it is an impossible task to figure out which of those articles apply.
We work out what applies in each situation and write it in plain language, with a reference to the article it comes from for every statement. You therefore don't have to believe us — you can check it.
How the texts are created
We automatically monitor the official sources: EUR-Lex for the regulation itself and everything established under it, the publications of the authority that explains the rules, and the supervisory authorities in each country. Every week we check what is new and which pages it affects.
The texts are written with AI based on these sources, run through a technical check that prevents prohibited formulations, and then approved by a person before they go online. Nothing goes live automatically. Below each article it says when it was last checked.
What we do not do
We do not provide legal advice and do not assess your situation. We do not predict how a supervisory authority will act. And we do not cite an article number, deadline or fine amount that we cannot point to in the official text.
Is something wrong? Let us know via contact. That is the most important mail we receive: if a text turns out to be incorrect, we take it offline immediately.
